ABOUT
Tigh Eilidh Cottage enjoys a beautiful setting of truly exceptional Fife countryside, less than 3 miles to the south of St Andrews, the world famous home of golf.
The Fairmont Hotel and the Coastal Path are just a short walk away.

Located in a courtyard setting with a wide range of amenities our well equipped cottage is perfectly suited to couples, families or golfers alike. There is ample parking for guests and visitors.
The cottage is surrounded by fields with open views across the countryside and out to sea.
THE COTTAGE
The cottage has been tastefully decorated with 3 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds (which can be moved to accommodate different parties). It comfortably sleeps 6 + 1 infant.

Patio doors lead to a private garden with a BBQ from the lounge and the kitchen and dining area are open plan. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and also a downstairs WC.

Balmashie stands adjacent to the Fairmont Hotel's Torrance and Kittocks courses and other notable courses within easy reach including St Andrews Links Courses, Kingsbarns, Crail, Elie, Ladybank and the Dukes Course to name but a few.
Cultural Sites
A ‘must-see’ for any visitor, explore the remains of St Andrews Cathedral.
St Andrews Museum explores the heritage of the town from its medieval past to the present.
St Andrews Castle, with a history spanning 450 years, has been a bishop’s palace, a fortress and a state prison

A unique way to learn about the town’s extraordinary history, St Andrews Ghost Tours will also introduce you to many haunted locations and residents from years gone by.
Leisure Activities
Challenging shooting and fishing can be taken locally with some fine pheasant shoots nearby and there are many opportunities for riding with pony clubs for the younger enthusiast.
Fife Pilgrim Way
Take a journey through history on the Fife Pilgrim Way which winds through the ancient Kingdom of Fife. This long-distance walking route ends in St Andrews, which was one the focal point of the church in medieval Scotland.
Activities for Children
There is a swimming pool and spa at the nearby Fairmont Hotel and during the school holidays there are activities for children, non residents are welcome.
East Sands Leisure Centre and Pool are just a short drive away.
